A classic modern look in shades of grey with red and light wood trim.
Phase 1: Completed 30 Nov 2015
Before images of Phase 1: The Passage and Reception Area
Sky lights throughout the passage provides lots of natural light which falls on the framed eagles that pay homage to the company's name. The grey carpet was also still in a good condition, but the blue trim and wallpaper, which isn't one of the company's corporate colours, made the carpet appear more blue than it really was.
After images of Phase 1: The Passage and Reception Area
A warm reception area was created and prominent branding immediately points visitors in the right direction while creating a modern, professional first impression. All traces of blue was removed and replaced with warm tones of grey and lively red.
Art work was reset and re-positioned, and now forms meaningful points of interest where they can be appreciated in surroundings that better highlight their artistic qualities.
African elements were introduced by means of proteas and the field study watercolours in the entrance area - a talking point for everyone who admires them in their new, prominent space.
Phase 2: Completed 6 October 206
The client had spent time working in their new offices and experiencing the uplifting effect it had on them and decided:
They needed to have more.
More renewal, more light and warmth and most importantly, more Proudly South African elements.
Before Images Phase 2: Reception, Boardroom & Offices
We expanded on the existing theme and inspiration by creating a fresh, clean canvas of the walls. This meant that old and new art now stood displayed in all their splendour.
Two fantastic feature clocks were carefully chosen to pop against their respective backdrops, and a fun and bold new steam train was framed for the CEO's office.
A touch of red, the company's most prominent colour, was also added to every space using various decor elements, and old blinds and writing boards were replaced with new, modern ones. The new blinds and chairs with oak arms and bases, further pointed back to the original light wood, grey and red inspiration while complimenting existing office furniture.
Finally, the African theme was expanded on by use of an canvas of Africa, framed African prints and beautifully crafted beaded Aloe pants.
